Wage is nothing but the monetary or non-monetary compensation for the services that are rendered by the laborers. The wages are paid on the weekly, daily, hourly and monthly basis. The wages are the hard earned money of the laborers.

Adequate wages for the laborers or the workers are necessary to fulfill their needs and meet the purpose of them doing the job. The workers or the laborers are right full to get their wages as per the contract. If the wages are not paid to the workers on time then the workers have the right to claim their wages. The wages are fixed by the employers at the time of appointing the laborer. But after a period of time a laborer can ask for increase in his wage. Your request for a wage increase should be based on reasonable grounds. The laborers before asking for an increase in their wages should think well and collect the reasons which can justify the increase in their wages.

The worker or the laborer should ask himself why he should get an increase. He can ask for a wage increase if he is very much efficient in performing his job, he is working more than his capacity, he is being given more work then contracted for, if he has completed the probation period, if he is working over-time, if he is working even in holidays to help the company, if he is doing his work on time etc. If the worker is meeting any of these requirements then he can ask for a wage increase. He should ask the employer for his wage increase and explain him politely why he thinks he deserves to get an increase. He should show and prove it to the employer.
