Description
The Organization Effectiveness Lead optimizes the effectiveness of a company, business unit, or team. Analyze the internal structure of the organization and create strategies to maximize employee work output and effectively utilize employee skills. The Organization Effectiveness Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
Responsibilities
The Organization Effectiveness Lead will accelerate the adoption of desired change (systems, people, processes, technology) and mitigate negative impacts enabling the segment to meet critical outcomes on time with minimal disruptions. Develop and execute change management strategies, design and implement development programs, and drive talent mobility initiatives. Guide and coach segment executives on effective change management practices. Use independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
Responsibilities
Have demonstrated expertise in change management practices to drive desired change and achieve the agreed upon goals.
Assess and identify change stakeholders, assess change impact, organizational readiness, capacity, and communication needs.
To reduce the disruptive effects inherent to change and to increase the likelihood of achieving the future state, formulate a comprehensive change management strategy and lead the implementation of that strategy across the Segment. Manage, monitor, and modify implementation plan as required.
Create an overall picture of the many changes impacting the Segment then create a broad strategic change plan that allows for change resilience rather than change fatigue.
Identify current cultural attributes, which may provide a solid basis for or be an impediment to the change
Create a shared vision and strategic intent for the change
Identify new or modified business processes, systems, policies, behaviors, rewards, performance indicators, and procedures needed to successfully work in the future state
Leverage segment and Human Resource resources to develop, manage, and maintain the change infrastructure needed for success
Leveraging a Change Sponsor, create a coalition of change agents, who work together facilitating change management activities to design, analyze, develop, and enable the organization to own and effectively drive adoption, usage, and proficiency
Continually monitor understanding, acceptance, and resistance to change. Apply targeted solutions where needed.
Provide 1x1 guidance and coaching to the segment leaders to help them adopt and lead through the change with their teams.
Create a deliberate link between the change management strategy and the communications strategy in that core messages are woven throughout the communication strategy to drive associate engagement at or above the 90th Kenexa percentile and to drive a positive emotional response to the change.
Manage senior leader onboarding program.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Organizational Psychology, Human Resource Management or a related field
2 or more years of Change Management experience
2 or more years of Project Leadership experience
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer and associated experiences
Background in Organizational Effectiveness / Organizational Design
Intermediate skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent Communication (oral and written) and Presentation skills
Strong Program Management / Organizational skills are critical for success in this role
The polish, poise, and executive presence to ensure effective interaction with senior and executive level audiences
Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence to drive consensus. Proven success in using influencing skills to achieve results
Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) is required.
A dedicated home office space, with a locked door, lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
Ability to travel 25-30% to Humana's Louisville, KY office
Work shift will be in Eastern Time Zone
Associates working in the state of Arizona must comply with the Tobacco Free Hiring Policy (see details below under Additional Information) and upon offer will be subjected to nicotine testing as part of a 10-panel drug test
