Our Global HR team partners with our business leaders to attract, retain, and develop Hilton's most important asset, our Team Members.

Our Human Resource Global Payroll team serves as a critical business partner responsible for delivering comprehensive Payroll Services for the US and UK-based corporate TM's, managed hotel employee employees, and select services to non-managed hotels in the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico.

What will I be doing?

You will lead a team and focus on Global Payroll operational services for payroll production and services for all cycle activities. This will include data management pertaining to team member payroll, hours, earnings, compensation, benefits, funding, general ledger reconciliation, and financial reporting. You will apply strong control and audit knowledge and ensure the team follows all Sarbanes Oxley control protocols for each payroll.

As a manager on all Global Payroll Program events, you will participate as a key partner in annual reporting, annual performance cycles, stock programs, and executive compensation. The team supports distribution of payslips and paper paychecks, Earned Wage Access, Final Pay Programs (Wisely Pay), and other hospitality-focused services such as Fringe Benefit, Variable Income, and Tip Reporting. This Manager will support operational analytics, dashboards, and scorecards for the internal team and provide significant vendor management to multiple third parties involved in the service delivery and production lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include providing direction to production and processing related to Human Resource and Payroll programs. Manage all Payroll schedules, on-cycles, off-cycles, overpayments, electronic file processing services, and special projects which may include but are not limited to compensation, executive programs, stock purchase programs, expatriates, benefits, garnishments, disability, leave management, and relocation.

More specifically, you will:

Provide an efficient, timely, and accurate payroll production services for all cycle activities including compensation, executive compensation, bonus, stock, benefits, funding, reporting, programs, and delivery of payroll products and services in multiple countries.

Lead Service Now queries and requests via expedited resolution and customer care as the main focus.

Support service and delivery model with new services, capabilities, efficiencies, and regulatory updates, as new programs and process updates occur. Provide direction and guidance to internal teams including mentorship and delivering timely feedback.

Collaborate with Compliance, Quality Audit, Tax, and Transformation teams to manage control frameworks, audit cycles, and ad-hoc requests. Accountable for quality assurance, quality audits, and process controls pertaining to U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico.

Transition new properties into and out of the Hilton business framework regarding Human Resource servicing and payroll service delivery.

Oversee business processes pertaining to system interfaces specific to payroll processing and statutory reporting, including garnishments, taxes, benefits, deductions, and fringe benefits.

Build strong partnerships with cross-divisional business partners such as Compensation, Executive Perks and Compensation, Corporate Accounting, Finance, and Legal for alignment on fringe benefit processing, reporting, taxation, and G/L liability reconciliation support.

Leverage strong partnerships across the broader Payroll team and Information Technology for support, service delivery partnership, and special events including cyclical testing of system release updates and continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain quarter-end and year-end activities, including vendor management and cross-divisional engagement.

Work with garnishment agencies and third-party partners.

In-Direct Reports: 4-8 positions including Analysts and Supervisors

What are we looking for?

The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

Strong Payroll Operations background with advanced analytical and quantitative skills; ability to work with team member data to produce accurate and timely payroll results. Attention to detail, schedules, and in a highly complex and fast-paced environment.

Work cross-functionally in a highly matrixed organization.

Ability to successfully leverage tools such as Oracle Cloud, ADP, Service Now, Microsoft Excel, and other technological tools to aid in data extraction, organization, and visualization.

Strong communication skills interacting with government agencies, third parties, and business partners.

Proactive leader to support recovery and error resolution with strong problem-solving and root cause analysis.

Collaborative nature to design solutions and drive business functions.

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

Five (5) years of professional experience in the field of Finance, accounting, human resources, payroll services, or financial reporting

Responsibility for multiple payroll frequencies in a multi-jurisdiction multi-entity organization

Familiarity and/or experience working with third-party service providers (i.e. ADP, Genpact, Equifax State Unemployment Services, Ceridian, etc.), and exert vendor relationship oversight

Experience in a business environment leading others, including talent management

Experience handling large complex payroll of more than 50K employees.

Experience leading third-party partners and related business activities via scorecards and dashboards

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

BA/BS Bachelor's Degree

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certifications (FPC)

Multiple country experience
