Job Summary and Scope
Provides administrative support to human resources functions as needed, including records maintenance, and service to all levels of management. Ensures adherence to Federal, State, and Local employment laws, as well as Hospital policy and procedure.
Essential Functions:
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES - Maintain and develop established departmental and hospital policies and procedures, objectives, and quality assurance programs. Provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT - Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings and workshops.
Responsible for all human resource activities to include employment and the onboarding process.
Assemble new hire packets.
Maintain filing and personnel files.
Assist with the scanning process and electronic filing of employee files.
Maintain non employee files at TJC standards and requirements.
Display proper etiquette and mannerisms that reflect SRMC’s key behaviors
Maintain and update standard work.
Provide input into daily management processes and suggest improvement ideas.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Licenses/Certifications

Preferred Educational/Experience Requirements:
2 years or more in a Human Resource environment within a hospital setting.
SHRM-CP Certification
Bachelors in Human Resources or related field.
Conditions of Employment
Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check, reference checks, and a post-offer drug screen.
Must be employment eligible as verified by the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) and the Government Services Administration (GSA).
Tuberculin Skin Test required annually.
Hospital required vaccinations.
Hospital required competencies.
Working Conditions
Typical office and/or patient care, acute care hospital environment.
Must be able to travel locally between facilities and within the surrounding community.
Occasional exposure to minimal physical risk.
Extensive computer work.
