Position Summary

The HR Process Professional’s primary objective is to document and optimize and provide governance over HR processes and RACI. This includes improving service delivery in terms of efficiency and/or cost savings by evaluating current HR processes, identifying areas for improvement, making recommendations, or developing solutions, and communicating them clearly to stakeholders. This role will also ensure HR’s business processes conform to the organization’s long-term business strategy.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Support current and future state HR process mapping and work activity analysis using the Business Process Mapping philosophy and adhering to UA’s BPM governance

Partner across the HR organization to understand, prioritize, and recommend process enhancement opportunities

Facilitate problem solving sessions with process stakeholders to validate business cases for new system/process enhancement requests for use in the prioritization process

Oversee creation of process and RACI documentation and gap analysis focusing on key integration points between functions or COEs

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

Experience in a high volume, fast paced work environment.

Focuses on solving conflict, not blaming; maintains confidentiality; remains open to others' ideas and tries new things.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Communicates clearly and persuasively in positive or challenging situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions

Attentive to details and follows through on assigned tasks and commitments.

Flexible and driven to meet tight deadlines, handle multiple projects and prioritize them appropriately.

Demonstrates cross-cultural sensitivity and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.

Strong organizational skills, and ability to effectively disseminate information in a clear and concise manner.

Effective in a matrix environment, with the ability to prioritize workload with multiple cross-functional partners

Ability to work well both independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Education And / Or Experience

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in HR, Business, Organizational Development, or related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience in HR or:

Or Master’s Degree in HR, Business, Organizational Development or related field

BPM (Business Process Management) and/or Lean Six Sigma certification required

PHR or SPHR certification preferred

Proficient in Visio or Lucid chart

Other Requirements

Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our global headquarters in Baltimore, MD

Work-Life Integration (WLI) Designation: 2 days a week in-office, the remainder of work week remote at home
