What you will do

This position is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring personnel for various shifts within the Waterloo Pork Plant but may be assigned to other locations as needed.

Recruitment activities must comply with all Affirmative Action (AA) and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations. Requires strict adherence to corporate policy; local, state, federal laws and regulations for employment and employment eligibility. Must maintain accurate, detailed records on applications and employment eligibility. Partners with Employment and Human Resource Managers to establish recruiting needs, strategies, guidelines and promotions for recruitment activities. Must have the ability to interpret and compile information regarding the plants’ Affirmative Action plan and track applicant flow to ensure the plant follows Affirmative Action standards. Other duties as required in support of the overall HR/employment department mission. Requires 80% travel with flexible work hours. Standard computer skills are required including generating letters, creating simple queries, spreadsheets, graphics, PowerPoint presentations and promotional pieces. Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with eVerify, SAP, and Workday preferred. Effective human relations skills are critical to the success of this role along with strong verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual skills are a plus but are not required. Must be able to manage up and down the chain of command at the assigned facilities to successfully perform the role.

Requirements

Resume is required and must contain contact information, related work experience/history, skills and educational information. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources or related fields required. Preference given to candidates with one or more years Human Resources or recruiting experience.
