Description
The Compensation Lead develops, implements, and administers compensation programs. The Compensation Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

The Compensation Lead is a role that requires a highly motivated and intellectually agile individual. In addition to leveraging your analytical and technical skills, you will be asked to apply business and financial acumen as well as organizational/behavioral comprehension to complex business challenges. Through diligent observation, participation and research, you will develop an understanding of business needs and objectives and then assimilate and evaluate information to generate insights and guidance within the organization.
Lead workstreams to perform external market analysis and assess pay competitiveness across all pay components (Base, TCC, TDC) including:
Survey library: manage survey budget/spend and full survey cycle; ensure data sources accurately represents talent market competitors and critical jobs
Job Matching/Market Pricing: establish market pricing guidelines, job leveling crosswalk and other key resources to ensure consistency in benchmarking across Compensation Team; set strategy, best practices, and lead process for annual job matching review
Market Competitiveness Analysis: develop ongoing Total Compensation benchmarking analysis; set strategy and lead process for in-depth benchmarking analysis and job grade assignment review; summarize findings and develop recommendations
Responsible for design and enhancement of career framework (job architecture) including job/job family definitions and job leveling guidelines; through effective governance, ensure integrity of framework across the enterprise both horizontally (job families) and vertically (job levels); continually monitor to ensure current and new jobs are market based/skills aligned while also meeting business/talent needs
Responsible for tracking/assessing impact of any new pay related Regulatory/Legislative changes; recommend and implement necessary program/process changes to ensure compliance
Perform research and analysis of associate, market and financial data; summarize findings and draw insights that support decision making; develop recommendations and meaningful presentations for senior leadership
Monitor effectiveness of job architecture and compensation programs; partner with Compensation team members and HR partners to identify and execute on improvements and enhancements
Exercise independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and work under minimal supervision
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or Human Resources or another similar field.
5 years of Compensation experience or experience evaluating compensation programs, monitoring regulatory landscape, and developing recommendations to meet business objectives
Prior experience developing compensation benchmarking philosophy and analysis including survey data management, market competitiveness, and pay structure/range development
Deep analytical experience with an ability to synthesize complex data into meaningful insights that support decision-making
Strong business acumen
Advanced proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office products
Strong research and problem solving abilities
Ability to work in a deadline-driven organization
Previous experience working within a team-based atmosphere with shared responsibility
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects/assignments while working with various departments to obtain data
Highly organized and self-driven with an ability to meet multiple deadlines
Proven consultation skills in a business-facing role
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience developing and/or implementing career framework
Previous experience with MarketPay and/or Workday
Progressive business/HR consulting and/or operational experience
Prior experience analyzing data and metrics to implement change in departmental processes
Experience advising leaders on complex business challenges
