How this opportunity is different Our People Advisors are responsible for the full spectrum of Aon's HR portfolio and the successful implementation of our critical initiatives, as well as identifying HR solutions and strategies needed to support business results and growth. Beyond the traditional responsibilities of HR advisors, we offer the freedom and mentorship to build cohesive and effective partnerships with aligned HR functional partners to help our business groups flourish. In turn, you will serve as a coach and mentor and help to deepen cross-cultural competence in leaders and their groups; this is accomplished through support of training efforts and diversity councils, as well as through the consideration of cross cultural impact to business decisions. What the day will look like People Advisors demonstrate in-depth understanding of our overall business model and champion HR programs within the context of results and performance. By advising on development and retention efforts, together we build the capabilities to maintain and grow our businesses. On an annual and ad-hoc basis, there is a focus on: Annual pay review cycle(s)Performance planning processesGlobal talent management reviewPromotion process and reviewAnnual engagement analysis and reviewImplementation of new or updated HR initiativesWorkforce planning initiativesFunction as a liaison between the business units and HR support servicesWe work with leaders to ensure performance management is effectively deployed in support of our commitment culture. We collaborate with Talent Acquisition to assess needs and workforce planning strategies and partner with the Global Talent Team on initiatives supporting Manager and Leadership Development. Some additional areas:Educate and influence leaders to adapt quickly to organizational and segment-specific shifts in direction; consider impacts on business unit and collaborate closely with leaders on communication and execution of outcomes needed to adjust to new state.Provide thought leadership related to strategic delivery and based on unique on-the-ground perspective to company-wide teams, preparing organizational change plans for major talent-related initiatives.Key Background 5 years professional HR experience with a background as a business partner, specialist, and/or in client-facing roles will help jump start the first few months at Aon. Several critical skills include: relationship management at all levels of an organization, business and financial savvy, leading complex projects (including globally), resolving complex HR issues and a knowledge of employment law. Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Some of our successful colleagues have attained SPHR, CHRP, or GPHR and an MBA or MS in Human Resources.
