Job Description:

We are currently looking for a Performance and Projects Advisor to join our our Krakow office. This role is based in Krakow but it is a part of a global Performance and Improvement Team supporting Regional/Process Operations Leadership Team in implementation and managing performance management and operational improvement in HR Operations.

The strategic intent behind this role is to drive operational excellence and provide expertise and support for HR Operations projects and CI agenda. Delivery Performance and Improvement Team supports HR Operations global population of c. 1.300 staff. HR Operations in turn provide support to all Shell employees and Line Managers, globally numbering over 83,000.

Job Purpose:


Partner with HR Operations managers and their teams providing expertise in and promoting a data driven approach to managing performance, identification of opportunities for improvement and coordination of projects delivery.
Support Delivery Performance & Improvement Manager in CI deployment and promoting RDS Project Delivery Framework, external best practices and PM and CI capability building plans.
Participate in and support HR Operations CI practitioners and wider CI Network in their delivery of CI competency development and CI initiatives execution.
Short to medium term focus of the position is delivery of medium size and complexity projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation and supporting building pipeline of future initiatives.


Key Accountabilities:


Support regional/process operations delivery performance, improvement and projects agenda:



Cooperate with other Performance and Projects Advisors and Performance Improvement Analysts and supported Operations Managers on integrated performance management, building a data driven organisation and improving delivery of exceptional employee experience.
Provide input to projects overview for respective region/process to support resource planning, delivery assurance, managing interdependencies and integrated communications and change management.
Identify risks related to operational and projects performance and assure proper information and escalation to respective stakeholders.



Drive performance management for supported HR Operations clusters:



Promote data-driven approach and apply data story-telling techniques to support HR Operations in understanding and acting on operational, tactic and strategic metrics and data to improve performance.
Analyse data and results, spotting trends and improvement areas on regional level, supported by Performance Improvement Analyst as required.
Act as a role model for service excellence and coach regional staff on global service delivery model, standard ways of working and support materials in cooperation with Delivery Design Analyst.



Support Regional/Process Leadership Team in driving regional CI agenda:



Monitor improvement plans pipeline and delivery against agreed benefits target, cooperating with the Operations on funnelling and integration of initiatives.
Facilitate interventions for identification of bottom-up improvement opportunities and bringing ideas for larger scale top-down projects (through e.g. data analysis, statistics, Lean, Six Sigma, Design Thinking, etc.).
Contribute to the regional/process CI network and practitioners community building a strong CI culture, yearly plans of activities and alignment with the global HR Operations CI community.



Lead or support medium complexity projects and improvement efforts:


Lead or support Continuous Improvement (CI) and other projects of medium complexity.


Support project leads in Operations in accurate estimation and forecasting of benefits and consistent project management standards application.
Provide project management support for individual projects or workstreams as required.


Key Challenges:


Projects portfolio within HR Operations are wide ranging; spanning projects or improvement initiatives on process, system and technologies, ways of working and organization/team, hence will require managing diverse stakeholders with competing interests.
Working, communicating and influencing in a global, virtual organisation as well as supporting colleagues in various locations and time zones.
Demonstrating consistently a can-do attitude and living the principles of CI behaviours and CI coaching.
The role requires strong (data) analytics and communication skills as well as a high level of independence.


Requirements:


University Degree, ideally with some numeric and management components
Experience in project management, with demonstrated change management skills.
Experience in driving performance management, working with targets and standards to guide operational activities.
Excellent networking and relationship building skills, able to work closely with operational managers to support them in improving performance.
Demonstrated capability to apply CI philosophy, methodologies and tools
Demonstrated strong analytical, interpretive and problem-solving skills.
Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Ability to analyse significant sized data sets; identify patterns, themes, trends and translate these into simple to understand and convincing strategies for performance improvement.
Well-developed communication skills including the ability to communicate at various levels within the organisation and to establish and maintain good working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Strong facilitation skills
Demonstrated influencing and change management skills
Focused and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure.
