Description
The College Recruiter interviews prospective employees for hourly and salaried positions. Assists with university graduate and professional recruiting. The College Recruiter work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
Responsibilities
Humana is seeking a College Programs Recruiter that will be primarily, but not exclusively, accountable for coordinating college recruitment efforts focused on our actuarial internship program. The majority of the opportunities the College Programs Recruiter will recruit for will be internship positions. The College Programs Recruiter will specifically be responsible for:
Soliciting and understanding college hiring needs for client group(s) to include target hiring numbers, desired skill sets, diversity goals
Creating and executing recruitment strategies for target schools including planned postings, recruitment events, company branding opportunities
Building and maintaining relationships with target school contacts (i.e. career office, faculty, student club leaders)
Identifying, organizing, and leading associates within client groups who have agreed to participate in college recruitment activities
Conducting initial screens of applicants and presenting qualified individuals to hiring leader(s) for further consideration
Leveraging available technology tools for purposes of sourcing, engaging and/or screening candidates (i.e. Handshake, Modern Hire)
With assistance of internal partners (i.e. travel planning team), planning and organizing home office interview days for top candidates
Tracking and reporting on college recruitment activity and results
Partnering with client groups and compensation in extending full-time offers to interns
Along with internship program manager, conducting annual assessment of recruiting strategy for internship programs and making appropriate adjustments based on goals and objectives
Handling full cycle requisitions where needed within Talent Acquisition department during non-peak college periods
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or 3 years of recruiting experience, preferably focused on college recruiting
Strong communication, presentation, organization and project management skills
Possess high energy level
Willingness to travel during college recruitment peak periods
Associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home.If progressed to offer, candidates will be required to: provide proof of full vaccination OR provide proof of applicable exemption including any required supporting documentation. Medical, religious, and state exemptions will be available.

Experience recruiting for healthcare or wellness organization
Actuarial science recruitment experience
