POSITION SUMMARY: 

The HR coordinator, System & Analytics is responsible to maintain partnerships with the Global HR systems team as well as being responsible for planning, governing and auditing all aspects of HR systems for Canada. A key understanding of HR policies and procedures is an integral part of the role in order to propose appropriate system solutions. He/she is responsible to develop and set key decision-making metrics, oversee data integrity, provide executive reporting, participate in all HR analytics initiatives and develop training material to optimize user adoption and best practices. He/she also acts as system expert for all Canadian operations, offices and HR, as well as ensuring a best-in-class user experience.

An important part of the role will be to follow market data-oriented trends, support Workday modules deployment/improvement and drive key analytics to improve decision-making processes.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB: 

  • Implement and maintain key HR decision-making and adapting metrics according to the needs of the business
  • Analyze and summarize data in a relevant, meaningful, decision quality manner to drive business decisions, process improvements and support strategic initiatives.
  • Create and automate reports to fulfill all reporting requirements
  • Support and work closely with the leadership in implementing data oriented initiatives
  • Work closely with HR Manager to automate compliance efforts (e.g. Pay Equity; OLFQ; Accessibility Act; LOA process and application; Bill 90), HR policies and business processes.
  • Support managers and HR through data-driven decisions
  • Maintain high level of consistency with global data management practices
  • Support all Workday and other HR system related inquiries and ongoing development 
  • Audit, improve and maintain data integrity in the various systems
  • Support work automation and optimization of systems use and develop training materials
  • Identify and lead HRIS processes that need improvement and outline an appropriate solution
  • Collaborate with the Global HRIS team on implementing and testing process changes
  • Create user documentation and procedures and provide training to end-users
  • Define and maintain appropriate roles and responsibilities in systems for all stakeholders
  • Collaborate with various local and Global stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:

  • 3 years in HR, HR analytics, or in a HR business analyst role
  • Experience with Workday and Tableau software is an asset
  • Experience working for multinational organizations

Education: 

  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources Management, Statistics, Commerce, Business Administration or another field that uses quantitative analysis.

Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in HR programs and procedures
  • Knowledge in systems and BI (or equivalent) software
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, critical thinking skills
  • Innovative, strong project management and change management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong and trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Energetic, resilient, capable of managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to use good judgment and discretion with highly confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and influence stakeholders.
  • Solid skills writing user guides and documenting procedures
  • Bilingual French and English, written and spoken
  • Excellent in decomposition of complex subjects
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite
