SUMMARY: This position is an entry-level HR management position and is responsible for performing a variety of administrative, technical, and professional work while learning the fundamentals of managing plant Human Resource functions, including recruitment, compensation, benefits counseling, and HRIS processing.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include advertising, recruiting, interviewing, assisting in selection of team members, affirmative action, good faith efforts, benefits counseling, keeping records of insurance coverage, facilitating leave of absence requests and payment of STD benefits, and processing human resource transactions (i.e., hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations). Prepares reports such as turnover, affirmative action, and personnel activities. Runs reports and performs analyses. Tracks team member attendance to ensure compliance with attendance policy and processes disciplinary steps when needed. Conducts/facilitates training and orientation for team members. Assists with plant activities (e.g., retention efforts, safety programs, attendance awards, community functions).
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. A degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.
At least two (2) years of Human Resources experience, with recruitment experience desired
Working knowledge of and compliance experience with employment laws/regulations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS administration
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong demonstration of initiative and continual improvement.
Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Works independently and efficiently (organized, timely, accurate, detail-oriented) in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to conduct presentations.
Demonstrates professionalism and respect in all aspects of employment.
Motivated self-starter who has the desire to learn and the ability to lead others.
