As the Senior Manager, HR Operations, you will be responsible for establishing the risk advisory, process and governance function. You will play a critical role in key global HR initiatives, inclusive of global HR process review and analysis of the current state of our HR operating model. What you'll do on a typical day:
Develop and implement a framework to identify and document global HR business processes, governance design, operating effectiveness and remediation tracking
Work with the global HR team to develop new and enhanced processes; document and provide feedback on controls required to mitigate identified risks
Identify opportunities for process optimization, emerging risks and trends, and ongoing and upcoming initiatives while proactively working with teams to enhance governance and ensure HR is equipped to manage risk
Develop and maintain HR operations processes and policies, including but not limited to system security access review, data protection laws and impact assessments for HR data processing
Lead internal and external audit/compliance reviews for HR operations and global HR technology (e.g. evaluating SOX controls/certify they are accurate and complete, perform annual reviews of SOC1 report)
Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of related internal controls; make recommendations to solve conditions noted and drive the implementation of solutions to improve operations and reduce costs
Establish strong relationships and influence a wide range of internal and external audiences at local, regional and global level
Deliver high quality, value-added deliverables on time and to specification
Partner with Employment Law and Labor Relations to assess risk and determine business position
Use data analytics and SLAs to assess and recommend new approaches or changes to policies and processes focused on operational efficiency and compliance
Support other applicable projects and activities to assist HR as necessary
What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or related military experience
5 years of experience in audit, compliance reviews, HR operations controls, processes and documentation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
It'd be great if you also have:
Experience working in a role that requires a high degree of confidentiality and/or dealing with sensitive information
An understanding of multiple HR disciplines, various policies and standards
Experience with third party/vendor management
Exceptional project management skills with a keen attention to detail
Ability to maintain professionalism in a rapidly changing, high-stress environment with a sense of urgency, personal integrity, energy and stamina
