Description
The Compensation Professional 2 develops, implements, and administers compensation programs. The Compensation Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
Responsibilities
The Compensation Professional 2 will have accountabilities in supporting Humana's career framework and salary administration programs. This position will require the understanding of the compensation department, HR Process Centers, Humana segments, and organizational strategies and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Day-to-day duties will include, but not limited to:
Evaluation of position requests ranging from support, technical, professional and management career level positions
Review offers from leaders ranging of various reasons
Conduct FLSA reviews
Ad-hoc analysis and reporting related to existing compensation processes or large scale projects
Partner with Compensation staff and management to support various projects across various business areas
Ability to support and get involved with special pay element reviews (shift-differentials, on-call pay, etc)
Partner with team on ad-hoc and annual market pricing reviews
Support annual pay planning process administration
Lead reviews of Service Now requests triaged to compensation department
Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 2 years with HR related experience
Strong relationship building and working with various levels of leadership
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Prioritize multiple priorities and manage time
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
2 years of compensation related experience
Experience working within healthcare and/or insurance companies
