This position will assist the lead instructor in providing classroom/hands on experience and clinical time for new employees being trained to work as Nursing Assistants, Clinical Associates, POAs, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school of practical nursing required, or new graduate of approved program eligible to sit for the Virginia licensure exam.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 0ne (1) year experience in an acute care facility
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of Virginia (LPN) required. Current AHA BLS-HCP certification required.
OTHER: Customer driven. Demonstrates a positive demeanor and good verbal and written communication skills, Must have the ability to problem-solve and communicate with a wide variety of people in an effective manner. Is comfortable and confident in providing constructive feedback regarding behaviors and performance. Able to take basic nursing skills and knowledge and present them to new employees with little or no healthcare experience in such a way that allows them to successfully complete the requirements to work as a nursing assistant or clinical associate. Role models professionalism in appearance/attire, attendance, interactions with patients and team members and following policies and procedures. Keyboarding skills required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
