Where You Fit In?

As we prepare and aim to integrate with Shell’s long term business strategy and vision, this role has been created to deliver Data Driven Insights aligning with the Reporting Strategy off moving from Point B to Point C, through the delivery and maintenance of data download reports.

The role will report into the Team Lead in People Insights Operations with no budget or line responsibility. The incumbent must have a sharp eye and understanding of HR, Business and data and processes.The incumbent must have good collaboration and interpersonal skills to adapt to a virtual, multi-cultural, multi-locational team based in various SBO locations.

What is the Role?

As Data Insights Specialist, you’re expected to have significant experience in Shell People, Workday and other HR systems. Knowledge of HR processes, tools & technology including good stakeholder management experience will be an added advantage to this role. More specifically your role will include:


Being key focal in downloading data requests for the use of reporting needs.
Actively works towards finding permanent solutions for data issues in the system by collaborating with relevant Ops and technical teams.
Deliver all process related adhoc or periodic reports requested via Salesforce and advising stakeholders on self-service reports.
Assisting team in producing bespoke and accurate data packs which may involve complex analysis and visualization of data
Be able to generate data in an accurate, timely, clear and concise manner
Work closely with the other team members to ensure data issues are regularly raised and updates shared
Agile in picking up data reporting needs and delivers as per agreed timelines and SLAs
Share best practices to enable and encourage work out loud culture and contributing to capability building journey for People Insights Operations


What We Need from You ?

You will be an important member of the People Insights Operations team and must have the ability to view data through the eyes of the business/ function ensuring reports requested via Salesforce are fit for purpose, timely and accurate.

Furthermore, you must have:


Enough familiarity on core HR process and systems.
Support the People Insights Operations team in delivering reports.
Proven track record of working successfully with virtual teams and stakeholders
Passionate about finding permanent data solutions to ensure accurate and timely reporting deliverables.
Have a learner mindset and respectful of various cultures and styles of working
Good presentation skills and stakeholder engagement
Able to work with numerous and concurrent deadlines to deliver solutions with high level of accuracy with minimum supervision
Resilient and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines when required
