The Human Resources Assistant provides specialized administrative support to the HR Team and will be exposed to a wide variety of Human Resources Projects. This position is often the first point of contact for members (employees). What you will be doing Provides administrative support for all facets of Human Resources. Assists with the recruiting and staffing process, may be asked to handle certain aspects of the staffing process (e.g. posting, screening resumes, developing and/or extending job offers) Leads new hire orientation and coordinates completion of new hire paperwork. Maintains member records in HRIS system for the employee lifecycle. Provides support and information to members upon request regarding HR resources, policies and procedures. Leads and/or provides support for wide variety of HR projects. What We Are Looking For Ability to appropriately manage confidential information Ability to plan and organize; strong attention to detail Ability to communicate effectively, using good judgment, tact and discretion. In addition, have the ability to influence and provide direction on basic HR matters. Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint) Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment Ability to multi-task effectively, while ensuring quality results and timeliness Strong customer service focus Ability to research, develop, present and own specific areas of responsibilities or projects Will hire at either a Level 1 or Level 2 depending on candidate qualifications: Level 1 (Entry Level) Education or Formal Training: High School Diploma required; Associates Degree or equivalent work experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources a plus. Experience Required: 2 years in an administrative assistant position OR a four year degree with a demonstrated interest in HR. Level 2 (Sr. Level) Education or Formal Training: High School Diploma required; Associates Degree or equivalent work experience preferred. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources a plus. Training or education in HR related areas such as Labor Law, Staffing, Benefits and Compensation desired. Experience Required: Minimum 3 years' experience in a Human Resources Assistant role or equivalent administrative assistant experience required.
