Building on the development colleagues receive in the role they are hired into, the Launch program is a supplemental development program for recent college recruits. Your Impact as A Health and Benefits Specialist (Specialty Practice)Employer-sponsored health and welfare benefit programs form the foundation of the U.S. health care system. These programs have evolved over time as employers have attempted to manage the changing needs of employees, rising program costs, and the impact of new legislation while supporting their human resource and business strategies. Aon Health and Benefits actuaries and consultants work directly with our clients to develop short and longer-term health and welfare benefit strategies. This process involves strategic assessments of the health care market and key trends and the identification of new and innovative solutions to employer. The technical and analytical skills health & benefits consultants bring to this process are critical to our health & benefits consulting. Colleagues accepted onto the Health Solution Specialty Practice will have the unique opportunity to rotate through the four pillars of subject matter expertise on the team over approximately two years:Health Transformation: Helps clients develop strategies to help their employees improve their health and well-beingTime Away and Life Solutions: Helps clients understand their total cost of absence and develop strategies to reduce the incidence and duration of absence and improve worker productivityPharmacy: Helps clients develop innovative solutions to combat rapidly rising prescription drug costs and drive higher compliance and adherence rates with medicationsEmerging Solutions and Delivery System Transformation: The colleague will share time equally between our team that is focused on value based provider payment strategies and our national champion network that focuses on emerging health care trends and emerging vendor landscapeAt the end of the two year rotation, the colleague will move into a role on the Innovation Team or another area of the Practice based on the interest and capability of the colleague and the needs of the business.Health and Benefits Innovation Team Specialists are often involved with the following projects which support our clients' annual and ongoing health management need. Job Responsibilities: Contributes to client reports/deliverables such as Request for Proposals, (RFP) preparing data for RFP release and entering RFP data into client management systems. Work with tools on RFP and related issuesCollects, analyzes, and prepares information to facilitate requirements of client requests and/or support the activities of assigned consultant. Evaluation of plan design and costs relative to various measures and benchmarks reported to clients.Gathers data and enter into summary spreadsheets. May analyze the information or data and run reports and/or chartsSet up data analysis toolsBecomes involved in vendor management, including carrier follow-up, etc.Learns about health care market trends and major competitors; understands market based rationale for business decisionsUnderstands the relationship between time recording to profitability/recoverability Begins to develop/acquire understanding of sales processYou Bring Knowledge and Expertise Suggested Experience: Excellent communication, problem solving, quantitative and project related experienceDetail oriented/organizational skillsExcellent financial acumen required, including strong mathematically-oriented projectsDemonstrates critical thinking and Analytical skills (quantitative and qualitative)Basic concepts of project managementSoftware skills (especially Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access)Experience using online tools and resourcesLike working in a team environmentStrong PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.Education: Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Risk Management, Finance, Health Care related- Public Policy, Health Management Health Behavior related degree preferred, but open to other majors. Applicants for this role, which is part of the Launch program, must graduate between December 2022 – June 2023 and have a GPA of 3.0 or above.
