Position Summary

Under Armour is looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking Lead, Talent Development. The Lead, Talent Development will be responsible for directly managing, coordinating, and executing activities for UA’s internal and external talent development programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience with talent management and organizational development practices, proven organization skills, facilitation skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks while driving toward deadlines, strong customer service skills, the ability to analyze and solve problems, and a passion for developing teammates and organizations. This teammate will have the opportunity to directly impact UA’s Talent Development strategy, support the growth of UA’s current and future Teammates, and contribute to the global expansion of the brand.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities


Own the maintenance and enhancement of performance management and related processes, e.g. business goal alignment and individual employee career development; including project planning, execution of performance management processes throughout the year, communication, ongoing process improvement and effective integration of current and future systems.
Partner to drive a teammate engagement strategy and support execution of annual surveys, including design, administration, results reporting, and action planning.
Drive development of training and communication programs aimed at aligning employee activities with talent management practices and organizational goals.
Create and provide reports detailing talent management activities, and provide regular updates to key stakeholders including insights for process improvement
Partner in a consulting capacity with business partners to identify and prioritize organizational development needs.
Assist in the evaluation of vendor capabilities, and the management of the quality of services provided by vendors
Conduct group facilitation, training and presentations to various organizational audiences, up to the Executive level, related to talent development processes.
Serve as point of contact for internal partners and managers inquiring about talent development programs.
This position does not require supervisory responsibilities.


Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)


Strong writing and oral communication skills including the ability to synthesize and analyze information into clear, concise messages in a compelling manner to internal stakeholders
Demonstrated track record of working successfully in a fast paced, agile environment, while leading multiple projects; proven organizational skills
Driven by intellectual curiosity, stays current on best practices in the organizational development and talent management space
Demonstrated experience in creating, designing, delivering and evaluating HR or talent management programs across all levels of an organization
Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, with solution-oriented approaches and strong collaboration with HR colleagues and business stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to earn the trust of peers, partners and leaders across an organization
Strong business acumen, including problem solving, critical thinking and partnership in business environments
Ability to take ownership of projects, and manage resources to achieve project outcomes.
Strong process orientation and subject matter expertise in adult learning, performance, and talent management processes.


Education And / Or Experience


Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University in Human Resources, Business, Communication, or related field
4 years of related experience (preferably in HR or talent development)
Experience in a fast paced, high growth corporate environment and/or the Retail industry is a plus.


Other Requirements


Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our global headquarters in Baltimore, MD
Return-to-Work Designation: 1-2 days a week in-office, the remainder of work week remote at home
Must have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
Experience with talent management software platforms (e.g. SuccessFactors) is a plus.
