The Global Talent Acquisition Lead, Research and Early Development is a critical member of our Global Talent Acquisition (TA) organization and will be responsible for developing and leading the strategic planning and execution of the organization’s recruitment plan. This position will serve as the global single point of contact with respect to (i) current TA performance and (ii) future hiring demand planning for the area of the business they support, as well as (iii) leading a team of 3-5 TA Partners nationally, responsible for delivering the hiring objectives for the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Single point of contact for Talent Acquisition (TA) performance of the supporting business area. Partner with the Talent Strategy & Innovation team to obtain data required to develop insights necessary to discuss performance with the global HRBP across the business unit and key business leaders on a global basis.
Lead global hiring demand planning in partnership with the applicable HRBPs, key business leaders, Finance, and TA colleagues.
With respect to the supporting global business unit:
Provide leadership to the recruitment team including oversight of full life cycle recruitment activities. Ensure TA Partners have the resources needed to be successful in their roles, and act as a liaison between them and Hiring Managers or Business Leaders, when required. Provide regular feedback and establish career development goals through one on one meetings and performance planning.
Responsible for robust understanding of current hiring activity, and for ensuring each TA Partner has an in-depth understanding of the business they’re supporting.
Use data, operational reports, and insights from the hiring demand plan to partner with the RPO Sourcing Partner to ensure appropriate resourcing is established.
Develop strategic recruitment plans that will attract and deliver qualified and diverse talent to BMS, in partnership with the RPO Sourcing Partner and Head of Talent Acquisition Marketing Strategy and Delivery.
Partner with the TA Enablement team to ensure alignment between TA Partners, Immigration, Global Mobility and Interview Scheduling teams.
Ensure strong partnership between TA Partners and Total Rewards Operations (TRO) and Comp COE team, to ensure understanding of compensation structure and develop offers in line with that structure.
Leverage data to influence and recommend actions that will improve efficiency and Hiring Manager and Candidate satisfaction.
Responsible for ensuring that data is maintained in Applicant Tracking System, Candidate Relationship Management, etc., and maintain a basic understanding of how systems function (generating appropriate reports, etc.).
Partner with the business leaders and TA Event Lead, to identify the best resources to support BMS objectives in participation in industry conferences and congresses, and support achievement of the objectives.
Preferred Experiences:
7-10 years recruiting experience; with three (3) years of recruiting experience within the Pharmaceutical/Biotech environment strongly preferred
Expert level knowledge in full life-cycle recruiting components including, but not limited to, sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessing, legal, job analysis, wage and salary trends, relationship management and due diligence.
Experienced people manager with the ability to manage a team of professionals, maintaining engagement, development and delivery of all accountabilities
Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders at all levels within a highly matrixed organization with the ability to work across cross-functional, cross-organizational teams
Demonstrated ability to effectively partner and collaborate with colleagues in the Centers of Expertise to deliver the most qualified talent for BMS
Demonstrated ability to develop meaningful and trusted relationships with all levels of an organization
Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage deadlines for a variety of requisitions against competing priorities
Strong understanding of technology and experience using talent acquisition systems, including Applicant Tracking, Candidate Relationship Management, social media, and other predictive tools
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate ideas and influence others to accomplish goals and objectives
Demonstrated ability to partner, manage and influence virtually
Demonstrated ability to work with outsource providers and contractors, if necessary
Minimum Requirements/Knowledge Desired:
Bachelor’s Degree required plus 7 years relevant experience
Consulting skills/ impact and influence abilities/ strong stakeholder management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, planning, organizational, and project management skills
