The Opportunity
Reporting into the Senior Manager, Talent Management, you will be responsible for delivering on FreshBooks’ Four Es – Executing Extraordinary Experiences Everyday for both our employees and the business, by developing and executing Total Rewards strategies that support the achievement of business priorities. As an integral part of the HR Talent Management team, and subject matter expert, you will provide hands-on support in creating reward programs that deliver competitive compensation, benefits and other rewards to all FreshBookers.
What you will do:
Partner with Senior HRBPs and the Talent Operations team in the development and execution of Total Rewards programs across multiple lines of business
Participate and lead in market/salary surveys; develop and propose pay ranges in accordance to the company’s pay philosophy
Conduct job analysis and work with HR team and business leaders to determine appropriate job leveling
Lead in researching and implementing company benefits plans, programs, and policies reflective of multiple markets (Canada, U.S. Europe, Mexico etc.)
Contribute to the HR strategy for the Talent Management team and provide insights and solutions to leaders on talent reward priorities and needs.
Administer company bonus programs
Evaluate benefit programs (e.g. retirement plans, leave policies, wellness programs, insurance policies etc.) and make recommendations to align with total rewards philosophy
Partner with and manage relationships with insurance brokers and benefits carriers
Prepare timely and accurate reports, quality data analytics and models that support management in making informed decisions
Other duties as assigned
We think you'll be an amazing fit for this position if you have:
Minimum 5 years of total rewards experience with a focus on total rewards programs
An undergraduate degree in Business, Business Administration or relevant discipline including HR.
Ability to manage projects and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
Recommend creative and collaborative solutions for resolving compensation related issues
Systems expertise (HRIS/Payroll Platforms)
Advanced reporting and data expertise (Excel, Google Sheets)
Ability to problem solve, analyze data to uncover meaningful insights and make recommendations for action
Experience in compensation and benefits administration, specifically related to participating in salary surveys and executing pay for performance, bonus programs and building compensation frameworks
Relationship building skills to engage management in a confidential and diplomatic fashion
Excellent communication skills including the ability to present confidently to large audiences
You thrive in a fast paced, demanding environment
Strong consulting skills with a demonstrated ability to influence decision making and build consensus
Relationship building skills to engage management, HR teams and external partners in a confidential and diplomatic fashion
Strong functional HR expertise in: compensation methodology and framework design, program management, benefit programs, and data analysis with a focus on fairness, equity, and engagement of high performing teams with a diversity and inclusion lens
Deliver input and feedback on program / policy design to the Senior Manager, Talent Management, and HR teams, and lead program execution & implementation
Participate in critical people projects that impact employee experience, growth, and retention
Deliver solutions that drive company and individual performance to achieve FreshBooks OKRs in a way that is reflective of our culture, values and mission
Compensation designation or certification is compensation designation.
