SUMMARY
**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is currently seeking a qualified BSNC shareholder, BSNC shareholder descendant or BSNC shareholder spouse for our Payroll Administrator position in our Accounting/Payroll Department in Anchorage, AK. The position of Payroll Administrator reports to the Payroll Manager. The function of the Payroll Administrator includes filing, scanning, learning basic payroll and time sheet processes, systems and functionalities. Tasks are generally routine and require little deviation from the established procedures. Work under close supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Updating employee records in payroll system
Filing and scanning payroll documentation
Perform tasks to establish and maintain employee/payroll records
Prepare various payroll reports for filing and reporting
Other related duties as required and assigned within the Payroll Department.
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION
Required (Minimum) Qualifications
High school diploma or GED High school diploma or equivalent.
Bering Straits Shareholder/Descendant/ Spouse of a Shareholder.
Preferred
At least one (1) years payroll work experience.
Costpoint experience.
Deltek Time & Expense experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to meet weekly deadlines.
Ability to balance multiple competing priorities under deadlines.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Good interpersonal skills and able to work in a team environment.
Dependable and punctual.
Maintain Cooperative working relationships; demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for a diverse population
Must be able to operate office machines, including a computer, copier, fax and 10-key by touch as well as make arithmetic calculations.
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
Managing one's own time and coordinating time with others.
The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.
Using computers and computer system software, enter data, or process information.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 
Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
