HR Generalist/Benefits Coordinator- Tulsa, OK
M-F 8am-5pm
Direct Hire
Compensation- $60-65K DOE
This position is responsible for assisting the Human Resources department with a variety of tasks. The HR Generalist/Benefits Coordinator will provide information and support regarding human resources activities, policies, processes, and procedures with a strong focus on benefit administration.
Essential Responsibilities/Activities:
Performs orientations, onboarding and updates records with new hires.
Enters personnel employment changes including, status changes, job changes, and pay rate changes in the payroll system.
Produces and submits reports on general HR activity.
Administers benefits programs to include: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, flexible spending, HSA, disability, FMLA, LOA, Worker’s Comp, etc.
Acts as an advocate to resolve all issues related to benefit programs.
Ensures correct benefit deduction amounts are set up and adjusted in the payroll/HRIS system as needed.
Notifies and updates Payroll Accountant and the HRIS system regarding status of leave and any changes to benefit payments.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
2-4 years of Human Resources experience
Excellent knowledge of Benefits/401K, ADA,FMLA
HR generalists should exhibit strong decision-making skills with a deep understanding of employee relationships, staffing management and training
