Summary:
The Workforce Planning Leader will work as a strategic thinker, distinguishing themselves from traditional workforce shaping. This role will collaborate with business counterparts and will generate a positive mutual synergy focusing on anticipating the future state of the workforce and ensuring the best-in class worker experience.
Responsibilities Include:
Partner with business leaders and translate future business with the people agenda, defining and driving the workforce planning strategy
Review insights and analytics to inform current thinking and to drive decisions on future investments in other HR areas like learning & development, career paths, recruiting sources
Create a workforce planning vision which focuses on the short-term, medium-term and long-term workforce, skills and competency needs to find the optimal blend of permanent, flexible and digital talent
Partner with Talent Enablement, Learning, and Workforce Insights, using workforce data to ensure the organization is attracting, training, and retaining top talent with competitive skillsets
Catalyze innovation, enabling an agile, efficient and effective workforce
Connect the HR Function to the business, shaping the culture of the workforce and ensuring that business strategy is informed by evidence-based workforce insights
Remain current on emerging trends, industry insights, best practices, and technologies and tools to inform the workforce planning strategy
Lead, manage, and mentor a team that uses evidence-based insights to provide potential workforce implications to the business and builds workforce shaping programs that are realistic and achievable weighted against workforce constraints
Monitor success of program and policies against ROI targets and adjust as business requirements dictate, ensuring a continuous improvement approach is embedded
Benchmark the organizations needs against competitors
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or related field. Equivalent work experience to be considered in lieu of higher education.
Experience: 10 years relevant work experience
Computer Skills: Standard computer skills
Communication Skills: This position is expected to communicate recommendations and strategically influence across a broad range of users, stakeholders, and management. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills required. Team member must be able to adapt their communication style for all levels within the organization.
Special Skills: Significant knowledge in organizational design and development design, with experience in job competencies and reskilling; Ability to drive improvement and integration of processes, technology, and people; Proven ability to manage large scale cross functional change projects using the defined Tyson methodology; Strong analytical, technical, and strategic skills to drive efficiencies; Strong interpersonal and influential skills
Supervisory: Yes, this person will lead a team
Travel: 5-10 domestic trips per year.
