Your new company
You will be working for a large construction business on a well known site. You will be working alongside an HR Advisor to establish position as first point of contact for HR and training enquiries. You will be delivering effective administrative support to the HR business partner and all business unit employees. Part of this role also has a training aspect and you will be providing comprehensive development and training service to the business unit and contribute to the overall provision of development and training solutions within the business.
Your new role
Provide HR support and advice to employees and line managers, explaining policies and procedures Provide effective administrative support to the HR business partner, managing director and other functional heads of department. Manage the new joiner process from recruitment documentation through to induction Local employee offers of employment using standard documentation provided Handle maternity, paternity, adoption parental and other leave processes and queries Take ownership for the absence management system Manage the holiday recording system Provide data for and prepare the monthly management information reports. Coordinate eligibility to work in the UK checks in line with requirements Manage the administrative side to the changes to terms and conditions process i.e. forms and letters Organise leavers arrangements including acknowledge resignation letter, retrieval of company property, inform HR business partner to enable exit interview to be held, and inform payroll Provide support to the HR business partner with general HR transactional queries and administration as and when required i.e. responses to questionnaires/bid documents/reference requests Deal with other correspondence and general HR administrative support as required Coordinate all local training activities and deliver as appropriate Support the education liaison advisor as required in monitoring the progress of graduate, trainee, apprentice and all other professional and academic programmes Analyse corporate and individual training needs in conjunction with the business unit managing director, area or functional directors, and other relevant members of the management team Maintain and update the training database Manage the training budget and monitor grant recovery in accordance with given time scales Book training courses, select venues and liaise with chosen venues on price and availability
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this role you will be an experienced HR Administrator. You should be local to Wandsworth. This is a long term temp role so you should also be on short notice.
