The Position

The Talent Management Director is responsible for the development and implementation of the European talent management strategy and practices based on business and HR strategy and priorities. The role reports into the Senior Director Talent & Development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You develop and implement the European Talent Management strategy based on Workforce Planning outcomes
  • You own and ensure consistent execution of the European Talent practices of Workforce Planning, Performance management, Talent Review & Succession Planning, Career Progression and Talent Retention
  • You act as an expert to Business and HR leaders on talent management topics
  • You steer and provide guidance on creation of talent management plans for the business;
  • You remove barriers and drive cross-functional and cross-company key talent mobility;
  • You drive a measurable increase in cross business unit / cross function moves and internal fill rate of vacancies;
  • You drive clarity and fairness in managing successful performance and support the HR leaders and Business accordingly
  • You build and monitor strong talent bench for critical roles in the organization and pro-actively support the development of these Key Talents;
  • You facilitate talent forums, succession planning and other talent management practices with Senior Leadership Teams;
  • You increase talent management capabilities and expertise within business units and functions;
  • You partner with Compensation & Benefits, Talent Development, Talent Acquisition and I&D to ensure alignment and build synergies in initiatives – you ensure integrated talent management
  • You evaluate effectiveness of talent management processes and tools and ensure external benchmarking;
  • You improve / design European talent management processes, guidelines and tools to integrate into people management practices;
  • You partner with Talent Partners in the Global team, as well as regional partners in US and Asia.
  • You monitor and drive strategic HR KPIs around talent management

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Master degree ideally in Psychology, Management, Business Administration;
  • Previous work experience is minimum of 10 years, of which minimum of 5 years in Talent Management (preferably leading a Talent Management position)
  • Has worked previously in an international matrix structured complex environment;
  • Deep and expert knowledge of talent management concepts, methodology and industry trends and proven experience in delivering best practices;
  • Pragmatic and not afraid to roll-up your sleeves;
  • Able to build effective working relationships with senior level executives, other CoEs and our Global and Local Talent Partners;
  • Experience and ability to anticipate and manage change and recommend pragmatic solutions;
  • Experienced in leading formal and informal teams
  • Extensive experience in building, managing and engaging talent pipelines;
  • Can drive continuous improvement of the processes, policies and standards contributes to elevating our talent management process;
  • High degree of perseverance in driving results and passion for excellence belong to your strengths;
  • Excellent project management and planning skills and with your experience in embedding new programs in the organization;
