The selected applicant will be responsible for, but not limited to:• Oversee investigations of complaints, disciplinary actions, and policy violations. Provide guidance to management and make recommendations for resolution.• Direct and advise managers to ensure compliance with the disciplinary action process and policies.• Partner with legal counsel to mitigate organizational risk. Interpret and manage arbitration and other employment issues.• Direct the dispute resolution process involving employees, management, legal counsel, and government agencies.• Integrate and partner with employees and management to improve employee engagement.• Formulate and recommend employee relations program goals and objectives.• Cultivate and nurture relationships with team members and leadership.• Track and analyze trends, recommend education, communication, and / or training to advance high-performing culture and mitigate potential for risk to the organization.• Provide coaching, recommend education and training initiatives to upgrade managerial skills and capabilities.• Proactively assess organizational development needs, make recommendations, and implement appropriate solutions.• Serve as a subject matter expert for compliance with Executive Orders, VEVRAA, Section 503 of Rehabilitation Act, and lead EEO and Affirmative Action Plan (EEO/AAP) compliance programs.• Administers affirmative action plans; data collection; analysis and reporting of data to develop the narratives and ensuring compliance with equal employment opportunity (EEO) requirements.• Assists with the response to government agency inquiries, compliance reviews and audits and internal/external requests for EEO, diversity or Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) reporting.• Manage EEO and Recruiting functions.Minimum of 10 years’ Human Resources experience with 3 years Managerial experience in a responsible, decision-making roleBachelor’s Degree in human resource management or equivalentKnowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local employment lawsMust be self-directed and motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision, exercising critical thinking and strong independent judgment to resolve issuesAble to demonstrate sound judgment and experience assessing risk relative to the companyConsistently work with integrity to develop strong and trusting relationships while handling confidential information with discretionExcellent verbal, written and strong interpersonal communicationsAbility to remain tactful, calm, and persuasive in controversial and/or confrontational situationsMust be a U.S. citizenMBA/MA or Advanced Degree in Organizational Development preferred PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred#LI-DM1The Human Resources Division contributes to the strategic mission of the company by providing programs and services to increase organizational competitiveness and employee effectiveness and well being.
