The Team
Sitting within the wider HR team, the Employee Experience team is responsible for building and developing a strong workability culture with an engaged and healthy workforce. We deliver exceptional service and support to our associates and people managers with the aim to increase engagement and create a culture where associates feel able safe to speak out. We take the lead on ensuring that our end-to-end employee journey gives our associates and people managers the best experience possible during their careerS with us.
The Position
This role will be Accountable for end-to-end ER management with a focus on consistent treatment of employees across our global business units. You will take the lead and own ER investigations for complex complaints, working closely with Senior Leaders, HR Business Partners, and our legal team. This role will be the Subject Matter Expert on internal ER procedures and work closely with the Senior Manager, Employee Relations, Health & Wellbeing to ensure that the procedures and processes are kept up to date and relevant. You will develop strong relationships with Senior Leaders, HR Business Partners, and Associates at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and own HR investigations for complex complaints in partnership with Legal and conduct mediation where required
Work closely with HRBP s to give status updates on relevant cases and agree on an effective course of action
Maintain required documentation within the ER case management system for advice and investigations
Serve as Subject Matter Expert on internal ER procedures. Act as the first point of contact for associates and Managers
Maintain up-to-date date knowledge of law changes, case law, and manage updates on policies and handbooks. etc.
Track, analyze, and interpret ER metrics, working with HRIS teams to identify trends in data that allows for early recommendations and resolution to the business and HRBPs
Through historical case data and trend analysis, engage in proactive ER practices and solutions to reduce the total number of cases
Act as the mediator between HR leaders, works councils, and other people partners across the organization
Providing guidance on best practices for the works council, adapting policies, defining the consultation requirements, whilst fostering a strong culture of collaboration
Keep a clear overview of all current topics, projects, and deadlines related to our Works Councils for HQ and prioritize topics in cooperation with the leadership.
The Ideal Candidate:
Bachelor’s degree required Degree in Human Resources, Labor/Industrial Relations, Law, Business or equivalent.
4+ years of experience and in-depth experience working in ER and with Works councils
Self-motivated, with the ability to work under own initiative and prioritize workload
Strong communication skills: ability to influence, stakeholder management, interdepartmental collaboration, diplomatic when needed, sensitive and high sense of integrity
Flexible approach to working; being able to work under pressure in a fast, dynamic, and driven environment
Organizational skills; including the ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines, as well as multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to establish trust, credibility and stay neutral without letting motivation interfere
Technically proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong influencing skills with proven success in influencing employees at all levels of the organization in a consultative methodology
