Summary:This position is responsible for all matters pertaining to Affirmative Action including overseeing preparation of the annual AAP for assigned locations, conducting analysis of hiring and selection processes and leading OFCCP compliance evaluations at scheduled locations. Other duties include oversight of and advising on good faith efforts to recruit, hire, and retain qualified minorities, women, covered veterans, and individuals with disabilities, preparing and reviewing AA reports to assure compliance with all Federal contractor obligations in addition to Tyson’s AA/EEO policies and processes.Responsibilities Include:Provide guidance and support managing business risks impacting the organizationPrepare and review AA reports to assure compliance with all Federal contractor obligations and Tyson’s AA/EEO policies and proceduresDevelop and deliver training and support in AA/EEO policies and processes to Tyson HR staff, Employment Compliance Specialists, providing AA counsel and adviceImplement procedures to ensure compliance program is effective in identifying, detecting, and correcting noncompliant issuesIdentify improvement opportunities, drive effective program, and process changes and find best practices for key initiatives to ensure EEO/AA complianceMonitor federal, state laws, regulations and directives and provide recommendations for change to affirmative action policiesRequirements:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field. Equivalent work experience to be considered in lieu of higher education. Requires broad knowledge in Human Resources, Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity and Employment Law.Experience: 6 years of Human Resources or Affirmative Action experience. Practical hands-on experience leading OFCCP compliance evaluations desired.Computer Skills: Standard computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteCommunication Skills: Strong communication skills both verbal and written to include strong presentation training skills.Special Skills: Strong analytical skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret employment laws and data.Supervisory: NoTravel: 12 domestic trips per year. Amount of travel will vary and be determined by auditing and training requirements.
