$105,000 - $120,000

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager, Learning & Development is responsible for creating and managing field-based learning and development initiatives. The role acts as a brand ambassador between the Store Operations department and the field to support the customer and associate experiences. The Manager, Learning & Development develops and facilitates virtual and in-person instructor led trainings focused on customer experience, operations, and leadership development.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
Develop and enhance training materials and programs that drive organizational performance and support, educate, and invest in our field team.
Deliver sales and operational training to field team; support training and on-boarding during new store openings.
Lead virtual and in-person instructor led trainings.
Develop and maintain on-boarding programs that align with brand standards.
Design training content that supports the customer experience program.
Partner with the Store Operations Team to design training content that fills identified operational and competency gaps; lead training effort for select operational projects.
Conduct store visits and collect feedback to identify areas of opportunity, recommend solutions, and develop learning strategies that drive results.
Lead change management efforts during operational implementations; demonstrate business and training expertise to help guide organizational change.
Organize and support field meetings.
Travel up to 10%.

Use knowledge of learning theory to recommend, select and create training programs and methods.
Make independent decisions in classroom situations when serving as instructor.
Ability to collaborate effectively with all business partners and make training-related decisions that align with organizational standards and priorities.
RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY:
Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously with adherence to deadlines.
Detail oriented/innovative traits are necessary.
Ability to anticipate future problems and recommend preventive course of action.
Strong interpersonal relation skills; ability to relate to all levels of employees.
Ability to deliver effective presentations, in person and virtual, to both small and large audiences.
Excellent time management and ability to prioritize.
BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Purchase training and associate engagement materials.
Recommend training programs and estimate costs.
Assess the return on investment (ROI) of learning & development programs.
Partner with store operations to develop costing and payroll needed for any new program introduction
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience: Developing level of knowledge & skills - typically 2-5 Years of related experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
Skills:
Instructional and content design experience
Compelling presenter and strong facilitation skills
Train-the-trainer experience
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Solid interpersonal and collaboration skills
InDesign and/or Photoshop experience preferred
E-learning authoring tool experience (Captivate, Storyline, etc.) preferred
In-store experience preferred
