Duties
The Director of Human Resources
is responsible for providing strategic vision, leadership and hand-on expertise
within an international, multi-cultural, not-for-profit, media organization
with a population of 750 domestic and international employees.
S/he will develop, implement,
coordinate and evaluate the corporation's human resources management policies
and procedures including, but not limited to: recruiting, hiring, benefits
management, performance management, employee training, development, and
safety
Lead, develop and execute the
organization's HR strategy to support the firm’s mission and strategic
objectives.
Serve as a trusted advisor and
business partner to management.
Provide guidance on managing
complex organizational and employee relations issues.
Support management with the
recruitment and selection process and in the evaluation of employee performance
and development.
Design and implement key processes,
including salary and budget planning, compensation determination, employee
communications, and employee training and development.
Lead the employee performance
review process in support of a pay-for-performance policy. Monitor consistency
in its execution and compliance across the corporation.
Develop and implement effective
and efficient strategies and procedures to pursue, monitor, and comply
with immigration and visa requirements.
Energize, motivate, and develop
a creative, proactive human resources team.
Manage a team of 4 fulltime
HR Professionals and 2 P/T HR Employees for Expat and Relo CONUS and OCONUS.

Required
10 years of progressive HR
leadership experience
Bachelors degree in human resources
or equivalent field; Master's degree preferred
In depth knowledge of HR core
competencies, including current knowledge of applicable federal and state
labor laws.
Flexibility and demonstrated
team building skills
Ability to effectively develop
actionable strategies and implement strategic vision
Solid experience investigating
and resolving employee relations issues
Minimum of five years of extensive
HR experience to include a full range of HR management responsibilities:
Policy and procedure development
and interpretation
Employment and labor law compliance
Recruitment
Benefits programs
Compensation programs
HRIS development
Experience in non-profit, international,
broadcasting or media organizations of sincere interest.
