We are seeking a Engineering - Technical Writer for a very important client.
Position Description
The Company leads the health care industry to provide solutions that benefit the daily lives of people across the globe. In your role as a Project Analyst you will take raw content from Engineers and use it to create and author compliant process documentation like reports, software development plans etc. In addition to this a Project Analyst will be the scrum master and run the sprint cycles. This role is not a tech writer, the documentation created by Doc Engineer will not go to the end user. It has to be compliant with applicable regulations and processes.

Responsibilities
? Work with software engineering and test engineering to write software technical documentation
? Work as a change analyst to route documents through Agile
? Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as software engineering, software test engineering to complete projects from inception to completion
? Work with the technical product management team to understand software requirements as it relates to the business
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
? Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
? Manages the development and implementation process of a company's products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products.
? Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
? Monitors the project from initiation through delivery.
? Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
? Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

What is your target years of experience?
2-5 years
- BS with 2 years of experience in project/program management.
DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
? Strong Documentation background
? Writing skills
? Focus on quality and timely execution of work
? Proficient in MS Word/ Excel
? Prior experience working in regulated industry (i.e. Medical Devices, aerospace etc.)

1. A technical writer needs to be concise and yet cover the critical aspects of a topic. Another way of saying this is, consider the function of the document with respect to the audience.
2. A good technical writer develops a plan for their writing projects. If the document is being revised, why is it being revised? And how has the technical/training/quality protocols and landscape changed between now and last version? If the document is being developed from scratch, what is the employer?s process, why is it being developed, what are current best practices, and how might the field be changing? The technical writer needs to have insight and a bit of foresight as well.
3. A good technical writer can adapt and change his plans to meet the customer?s needs yet still be compliant and effective.
4. A good technical writer does not have to be the subject matter expert, but does need to be able to seek out experts to help fill in details.
5. A good technical writer can use many different forms to help convey the message (drawings, tables, figures, diagrams, etc.) and will know which method will provide the most effective means for audience comprehension.
6. A good technical writer has good reading comprehension ? they can take the critical points from documents and summarize them completely yet concisely.
7. A good technical writer has knowledge of many universal templates and can use them appropriately.
8. A good technical writer has strong foundation in logic and deduction with a background in the sciences and mathematics (this includes engineering).
