Duties
SUMMARY
The Employee Relations Administrator
will provide guidance for employees and managers regarding employee relations,
HR policies and procedures and disciplinary actions. This person
will also be responsible for developing, implementing and executing employee
relations initiatives, programs and communication vehicles to ensure a
positive and productive work environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as main point of contact
to managers and employees, providing guidance for all employee relations
issues
Ensure all related policies,
procedures and practices are up-to-date and properly communicated to firm
employees
Provide support for Performance
Review process including but not limited to employee self-evaluations,
manager evaluations and goal setting process
Communicate regularly with department
managers to monitor and evaluate employee progress; provide guidance on
coaching, documentation, write-ups, etc.
Design, develop and coordinate
training and development programs based on both the organization and individuals
needs for both new hires and existing employees
Monitor and track the costs
of planned programs; provide ROI reports
Create succession planning in
collaboration with HR Administrators and Department Managers focusing on
identifying talent gaps, performance issues, potential internal talent,
and external talent needs
Responsible for all aspects
of background check procedures, processes, completion, tracking and vendor
relations; perform monthly audits to ensure compliance
Provide guidance to employees
on opportunities within the firm and the best ways to reach goals
Assist with data collection
and reporting on employment related budget items
Provide backup recruiting assistance,
occasionally
Required
REQUIREMENTS
5 years of employee relations
experience within a law firm or professional services corporation
2 years of experience
providing advice and appropriate mentoring to management level
Demonstrated ability to identify
and execute training programs for managers and employees in performance
management, effective communication, policy and procedure, etc.
PHR or SPHR Certification preferred
Proficiency with Ultimus and
viDesktop or
other
comparable database and or HR reporting
software
Strong leadership with the ability
to establish an environment of inclusion
Excellent communication skills
with a high degree of honesty and integrity
Bachelor’s Degree in either
Human Resources/Business Management required
