We are seeking a Sr Manufacturing Engineer for a very important client.

Contract Process Development Engineer
This exciting position as a Senior Process Development Engineer is in the Company Cardiac Ablation Solutions organization. Successful candidate will partner with engineers at Medtronic?s various manufacturing sites to develop manufacturing processes for Medtronic?s newest RF Ablation catheter.
Position Responsibilities
? Partner with process engineers to conduct designed experiments to develop robust manufacturing processes.
? Optimize equipment
? Execute IQ/OQ/PQ
? Update manufacturing procedures
? Recommend optimal process settings to be used in production
? Provide important feedback to design function to ensure design for manufacturability.
? Develop tooling to be used in manufacturing
? Develop manufacturing procedures to be used at Medtronic?s manufacturing facilities
? Train assemblers on new manufacturing processes
? Collaborate on and/or author documents such as technical reports, PFMEAs and validation reports.
? Troubleshoot manufacturing issues that occur during product development cycle and provide technical solutions via analysis and hand-on interaction with designated processes.
? Collaborate with engineers manufacturing sites to implement manufacturing processes.

SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM: Typically an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects from design to implementation while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education (typically University). DIFFERENTIATING FACTORS Autonomy: Seasoned individual contributor. Works independently under limited supervision to determine and develop approach to solutions. Coaches and reviews the work of lower level specialists; may manage projects / processes. Organizational Impact: May be responsible for entire projects or processes within job area. Contributes to the completion of work group objectives, through building relationships and consensus to reach agreements on assignments. Innovation and Complexity: Problems and issues faced are difficult, and may require understanding of multiple issues, job areas or specialties . Makes improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of the job area. Analysis provided is indepth in nature and often provides recommendations on process improvements. Communication and Influence: Communicates with senior internal and external customers and vendors. Exchange information of facts, statuses, ideas and issues to achieve objective, and influence decisionmaking. Leadership and Talent Management: May provide guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area. May manage projects, requiring delegation of work and review of others' work product . Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management.
Requirement:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

1. Looking for experience in process development, medical device experience, design of experiments, and good communication/collaboration skills.
2. Processes the candidate would be supporting include welding, soldering, adhesive bonding, and assembly.

Skills Needed:
? B.S. Degree in Engineering or related Technical discipline
? Minimum 4 years manufacturing, process development, or related experience
? Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment
? Computer skills such as Word and Excel
? Knowledge of Quality systems
? Experience interpreting mechanical drawings
? Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
? Strong communication/collaboration skills

Desirable Qualifications:
Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as laser welding, soldering, adhesive bonding, and assembly
Prior experience in the Medical Device Industry
Strong documentation skills
Understanding of statistical analysis techniques

Looking for a B.S. in Engineering with at least 4 years of experience. (would be open to more experienced candidates)

This exciting position as Process Development Engineer is in the Medtronic Cardiac Ablation Solutions organization. Successful candidate will partner with engineers at other locations to develop manufacturing processes for catheters. Processes may include joining processes such as adhesive bonding, laser welding, soldering, and assembly processes.
