OPTICAL PROTOTYPE ASSEMBLER III

Profile

We are seeking a OPTICAL PROTOTYPE ASSEMBLER III for a very important client.

General Description:
Performs a wide variety of electronic and optical assembly operations on standard and non-standard assemblies or sub-assemblies.? Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, crystal attach, wire bonding, and impedance matching on assembly units. Build product to print specifications.? Performs in process QC of all work performed. May works with design or test engineering as required on new projects and or special experiments.

Essential Duties:
1.??? Perform soldering of sub-assembly networks under stereoscope using ROHS solder.
2.??? Read prints and build to print.
3.??? Perform mechanical assembly on sub-assemblies including installing screws, pcb?s and connectors.
4.??? Perform packing of final assemblies.

Non-Essential Duties:
1.??? May be required to perform wire bonding, matching and crystal attach.
2.??? Perform computer transactions and database entry as needed.
3.??? Follow cleanroom procedures when operating under cleanroom conditions.
Requirement:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Safety Requirements:?
1. Will be exposed to hazardous materials and waste including but not limited to: Acetone, Isopropyl Alcohol, and Methanol.

Qualifications:
1.??? Must have strong soldering skills performed under stereoscope.
2.??? Must be able to read prints and build to print.
3.??? Must have good mechanical skills.
4.??? Strong math skills a plus.
5.??? Good dexterity and QC skills a plus.
6.??? Modest computer skills a plus.
7.??? Work experience of min 2-4 years? in related field preferred.
