Duties
The Human Resources Recruiting Assistant
supports the Legal Recruiting team and works with the Firm’s Recruiting
Committee. This is an exceptional opportunity in Human Resources in one
of the most respected law firms in the world. College graduates with
related human resources experience or human resources internships
are welcome to apply.
SUMMARY:
Create and update job descriptions with input
from the hiring manager and the Personnel Administrator
Post and recruit for open positions; place
ads, source applicants, process applications
Schedule suitable candidates for testing
Schedule interviews for candidates with Personnel
Administrator, Director of Administration and attorneys or other appropriate
department manager
Process background checks, reference checks
and salary verifications
Develop applicant database and maintain files
on applicants in accordance with firm standards
Maintain logs and database on new hires; 90
day and 6 month reviews and other statistics
Maintain logs for support staff mid-year review
feedback
Maintains Lawson data entry and basic HRIS
maintenance
Maintains new hire packets and distributes
them to appropriate parties
Maintains personnel file management
Support departmental management team whenever
needs arise
Required
Bachelor’s Degree
1 year of combined HR related work experience
or internships in a professional services environment or law firm preferred.
Effective written and oral communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills; multitasking
ability and follow up skills
Able to prioritize work while ensuring that
deadlines are met and the highest standards achieved
High levels of personal organizational, planning
and management skills
Ability to work with initiative, creativity
and flexibility to tight deadlines
Ability to analyze and solve problems

Evidence of own continual professional development
