Summary of Duties:
The Common Service Delivery Point (CSDP) is responsible for providing high quality services to the Government of Canada's global network of missions, via core and occasional services including Staffing.
Under the general supervision of the CSDP Human Resources Officer (HRO), the Human Resource Assistant (HRA) provides administrative and client support services for the staffing of client missions located in the United States, Caribbean and South America.
The HRA supports staffing actions by assisting client mission hiring managers with the development of job announcements, by pre-screening applications, and by coordinating and scheduling exams and interviews. The HRA is responsible for using various HR software systems and databases. The HRA serves as a point of contact for candidates and hiring managers throughout the staffing process with respect to routine questions. As needed, the HRA prepares reports, conducts research, and maintains statistics for review by the HRO and client missions.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates will initially be screened against the Essential Qualifications relating to education, language* and experience.
Candidates must clearly demonstrate when applying to the position how they meet each of these essential qualifications.

Education:
Candidates will be required to provide proof of the completion of their education.
A Bachelor's degree in a related field from a recognized post-secondary institution
OR
An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience*.
*Acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience is defined as the successful completion of a community college or postsecondary technical or professional program AND three years of human resources experience providing administrative support in a modern and automated human resources department.
Language:
An advanced proficiency level in English (reading, writing, comprehension and speaking).
Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year experience providing administrative support in a modern and automated office environment
Experience using Microsoft office 365 applications (Sharepoint, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Experience with electronic filing systems, data input and management and/or applicant tracking systems
RATED REQUIREMENTS
The Rated Requirements are part of the essential qualifications and are relating to knowledge, abilities and competencies. Methods of assessment for rated requirements may include, but are not limited to, a written examination, an oral interview (online pre-recorded/live or in-person), role-play, practical tests, presentations and/or psychometric assessment.

Preference may be given to candidates who meet the Asset Qualifications. Where applicable, candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet any asset qualifications.
Experience working in Human Resources
Experience working in staffing and/or recruitment
Ability to communicate orally and in writing in French
Experience working in Government, in a diplomatic mission, or in a large international organization.
HR certification such as CHRP, PMP Human Resources Management, SHRM-CP or CEBS.
Operational Requirements:
Hours of work:
Normal hours of work for this position are in accordance with Locally-Engaged Staff regulations of 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate must be willing to work overtime on occasion and when required.
Hybrid and flexible work location:
up to 3 days telework and minimum 2 days at the office.
Conditions of Employment:

Ability to obtain and hold a valid work authorization covering the entire employment period.
- Security screening:
